This Privacy Policy explains what information PixelCross (the "App") collects, how that information is used and shared, and the choices you have. Please read it carefully. If you have any questions, contact us at support@jiujiutop.com.
1Information we collect
Information you give us
The App has no user accounts, so you don't need to give us any personal details to play. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and anything you choose to include in your message, such as screenshots or device details. We use this only to reply to you and resolve your request.
Information stored on your device
Your puzzle progress, completed levels, Daily Challenge results, pixel picture collection, hints, and settings are saved locally on your device. We don't upload this data to our own servers. It is removed when you delete the App.
Information collected automatically
When you use the App, the third-party services described in Section 3 automatically collect some information from your device:
- Device identifiers, such as the Android Advertising ID, Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA, only if you allow tracking), Apple's Identifier for Vendors (IDFV), and Firebase installation and app instance IDs.
- Device and app information, such as device model, operating system and version, language, time zone, screen size, network type, and App version.
- Usage data, such as when you open the App, how long you play, puzzles started and completed, features used (for example, Daily Challenge or hints), and interactions with ads.
- Diagnostics, such as crash reports, error logs, and performance data.
- Approximate location, estimated from your IP address (for example, your country or city). The App does not request or collect your precise GPS location.
We do not collect sensitive information such as your contacts, photos, messages, precise location, health data, or payment card details.
2How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- provide the App and keep the game working as expected;
- understand which puzzles and features players enjoy, so we can balance difficulty and add new content;
- detect, diagnose, and fix crashes and bugs;
- show ads that keep the App free, and measure how those ads perform;
- personalize ads, but only where you have given any consent required by law;
- detect and prevent fraud, invalid ad traffic, and abuse;
- respond to your questions and support requests;
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
3Third-party services
The App uses the following third-party software development kits (SDKs). These providers collect and process information directly from your device under their own terms and privacy policies.
| Service | Provider | Data collected | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics for Firebase | Google LLC | App instance ID, usage data, device and app information, approximate location | Understanding how the App is used and improving it |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Google LLC | Crash logs, Firebase installation ID, device state at the time of a crash | Finding and fixing crashes |
| Google AdMob | Google LLC | Advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, ad interactions, approximate location | Showing and measuring ads, personalizing ads with consent, and preventing ad fraud |
We may also use other Firebase services, such as Remote Config (to adjust game settings without an app update) or Performance Monitoring. These process similar device and usage data for the purposes described in this policy. When AdMob uses mediation, some ads may be delivered by other ad networks, which receive similar information under their own privacy policies.
To learn more, see the Google Privacy Policy, Privacy and Security in Firebase, and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
4Ads and your choices
PixelCross is free to play and supported by ads. Ads can be personalized, meaning they are based on interests inferred from your activity across apps and websites, or non-personalized, meaning they are based on general context such as the current app and your approximate location.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland
Before showing personalized ads, the App asks for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform, a consent management tool certified under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. You can review or change your choice at any time from the privacy settings in the App. If you don't consent, you will see non-personalized or limited ads.
On iPhone and iPad
On iOS 14.5 and later, the App asks for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before accessing your IDFA. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
On Android
You can delete or reset your advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalization, in Settings > Google > Ads (on some devices, Settings > Privacy > Ads). After your advertising ID is deleted, apps can no longer use it to personalize ads.
If you are in the United States
Some US state privacy laws treat the use of data for targeted advertising as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can opt out through the privacy settings in the App, where available, or by emailing us at support@jiujiutop.com. You can also manage your Google ad preferences at My Ad Center.
5Legal bases for processing
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Consent, for personalized advertising and any other processing where the law requires consent. You can withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing that happened before you withdrew it.
- Legitimate interests, for crash reporting, analytics used to improve the App, showing non-personalized ads, and preventing fraud and abuse. We balance these interests against your rights, and you can object to this processing.
- Performance of a contract, to provide the App in line with our Terms of Use.
- Legal obligation, where we must process information to comply with the law.
7How long we keep data
- Data on your device stays there until you delete the App or clear its data.
- Google Analytics for Firebase keeps user-level and event-level data for no longer than 14 months, after which it is deleted automatically. Aggregated reports that don't identify you may be kept longer.
- Firebase Crashlytics keeps crash stack traces and related identifiers for 90 days.
- Google AdMob keeps advertising data in line with Google's data retention policies.
- Support emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, and are then deleted.
8Deleting your data
You can delete your data in the following ways:
- Delete local game data by uninstalling the App or clearing its data in your device settings. This removes your progress and collection.
- Reset or delete your advertising ID as described in Section 4. This disconnects your device from previously collected advertising data.
- Ask us to delete data by emailing support@jiujiutop.com with the subject line "Data deletion request". Please tell us which device type you use (Android or iOS) and roughly when you used the App.
Because the App has no accounts, we generally cannot link analytics data to a specific person. When we receive a request, we will delete any data we can identify as yours, ask our service providers to do the same where applicable, and reply within 30 days.
9How we protect data
Data sent from the App to Firebase and AdMob is encrypted in transit using HTTPS (TLS). We limit access to analytics and crash data to people who need it to maintain and improve the App. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
10International data transfers
Our service providers may process information on servers in the United States and other countries, which may have data protection laws different from those in your country. When data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland is transferred, Google relies on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
11Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information.
EEA, UK, and Switzerland
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information; to restrict or object to its processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California and other US states
You have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to access, correct, and delete it; and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
How to exercise your rights
Email us at support@jiujiutop.com. We may need to ask for information to verify your request. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. Residents of other countries may have similar rights under local law, and we will honor those requests as well.
12Children's privacy
PixelCross is a general-audience puzzle game. It is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required to consent to data processing in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, contact us at support@jiujiutop.com and we will delete it.
13App permissions
The App asks for only the permissions it needs:
- Internet and network access (Android and iOS), to load ads and send analytics and crash reports.
- Advertising ID (Android), used by AdMob to show and measure ads. You can reset or delete it at any time.
- App Tracking Transparency (iOS), an optional permission you can accept or decline.
The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or location.
14Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we add features or change service providers. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will also let you know in the App. Continuing to use the App after an update means the updated policy applies.
